The West Wilkes Blackhawks basketball team (Millers Creek, NC), dropped 61-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC)

The Vikings now possess a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilkes Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 31. North Wilkes will confront a Eagles team coming off a 45-44 non-league loss to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-12.

The Blackhawks (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds come into the non-league battle with a 14-4 record. In their last battle, North Surry beat Forbush (East Bend, NC), 71-43, in a non-league outing.
