Virginia High School Basketball - Rappahannock topped by Northumberland

The Northumberland Indians basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting Rappahannock Raiders to 27 in the Indians league victory on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Point for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30. Northumberland will battle a Pointers team coming off a 45-17 non-league loss to Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Pointers record now stands at 0-9.
The Raiders (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Westmoreland (Montross, VA). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Westmoreland was defeated by Lancaster (Lancaster, VA), 53-35, in a non-league contest.
