In Friday's league game, the University Trojans (Waco, TX) soccer squad overwhelmed the host Belton Tigers (Belton, TX), by a final score of 5-0.
The Trojans (7-1) will now prepare for their game against Chaparral (Killeen, TX). The Bobcats enter the 5A Region 3 District 22 challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Chaparral Ellison (Killeen, TX), 3-3, in a league challenge.
The Tigers now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waco for a 5A Region 3 District 22 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. Belton will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 league win over Lake Belton (Temple, TX). The Lions record now stands at 6-2.
