Next, the Hornets confront the Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) in a 4A Region 3 District 24 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Caldwell will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Buffaloes enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to Manor New Tech (Manor, TX).

The Tigers now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Taylor for a 4A Region 3 District 24 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. Smithville will confront a Ducks team coming off a 5-0 league win over Rockdale (Rockdale, TX). The Ducks record now stands at 9-2.
