Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats confront the Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 32 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Weslaco East will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record.

The Chargers now have a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Donna North for a 5A Region 4 District 32 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. Veterans Memorial will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 0-0 league Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 6-1.
