The Alexandria-Monroe Tigers (Alexandria, IN) basketball knocked off the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), 70-52 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Tigers (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Lapel (Lapel, IN). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 11-5 record. In their last test, Lapel notched a victory over Oak Hill (Converse, IN), 48-28, in a non-league test.

The Golden Bears now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Shenandoah for a Mid-Eastern test on Wednesday, January 31. Monroe Central will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 54-41 non-league loss to Union County (Liberty, IN). The Raiders record now stands at 7-7.
