In Saturday's non-league outing, the Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS), by a margin of 48-19.

The Panthers (15-11) will now prepare for their outing against Pearl (Pearl, MS). The Pirates go into the 7A Region 3 outing with a 17-8 record. In their last outing, Pearl smashed Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS), 55-54, in a league outing.

The Tigers now own a 4-20 record. They play next when they travel to Columbia for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 30. Bay will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 66-52 league loss to Purvis (Purvis, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-13.
