The Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) basketball felled the visiting Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL), 56-46 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars (21-1) will now prepare for their test against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 13-14 record. In their last test, Mater Dei thwarted Salem (Salem, IL), 62-43, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 14-12 record. They play next when they host Christ Our Rock Lutheran for a non-league test on Monday, January 29. Highland will encounter a Silver Stallions squad coming off a 56-36 non-league win over Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL). The Silver Stallions record now stands at 13-12.
