Delavan Panthers (Delavan, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL), 41-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Delavan upgrades its record to 13-11 on the season. The Panthers travel to North Mac (Virden, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-13. North Mac lost 73-68 in their recent league bout against Pana (Pana, IL)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Illini Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 59-56 league loss to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL).
