Elsberry Indians (Elsberry, MO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North Callaway Thunderbirds (Kingdom City, MO), 49-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elsberry upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Indians host Wellsville-Middletown (Wellsville, MO) to play the Tigers in a Eastern Missouri bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Wellsville-Middletown lost 72-35 in their recent league bout against North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers (Wellsville, MO) in a Eastern Missouri bout, on Monday, January 29. North Callaway will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 42-32 non-league win over Norborne (Norborne, MO).
