Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) and the visiting Excel Christian Warriors (Sparks, NV), saw Virginia City's basketball squad hold off Excel Christian by a count of 1-0.

With the victory, Virginia City upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Muckers travel to Sage Ridge (Reno, NV) to play the Scorpions in a 1A West challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a record of 4-12.

Next up, the Warriors play the Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV) in a 1A West challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Excel Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 54-39 league loss to Virginia City (Virginia City, NV).
