Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fort Kent Warriors (Fort Kent, ME), 64-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Katahdin upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME) to play the Panthers in a D North bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-13. Central Aroostook lost 53-40 in their recent league bout against Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME)

Next up, the Warriors play the Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME) in a C North bout, on Friday, February 2. Fort Kent will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.
