Georgia High School Basketball - Hancock Central succumbs to Washington County

January 27, 2024: Sandersville, GA 31082

The Washington County Golden Hawks topped the visiting Hancock Central Bulldogs basketball team by a tally of 61-42 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Golden Hawks now possess a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Putnam County for a AA Region 4 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Washington County will confront a War Eagles team coming off a 100-64 league loss to Westside (Augusta, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 13-8.

The Bulldogs (7-8) will now prepare for their battle against Glascock County (Gibson, GA). The Panthers come into the A D2 Region 5 battle with a 0-17 record. In their last battle, Glascock County dropped by Twiggs County (Jeffersonville, GA), 75-15, in a league battle.
