Hermann Bearcats (Hermann, MO) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Montgomery County Wildcats (Montgomery City, MO), 46-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hermann upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Sullivan (Sullivan, MO) to play the Eagles in a Four Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 2-14.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Van-Far Indians (Vandalia, MO) in a Eastern Missouri bout, on Thursday, February 1. Montgomery County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 62-46 non-league win over Clopton (Clarksville, MO).
