Lone Tree Lions (Lone Tree, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Highland Huskies (Riverside, IA), 61-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Lone Tree upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Lions travel to Wapello (Wapello, IA) to play the Indians in a SEI - North bout on Monday, January 29. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Wapello lost 60-36 in their recent non-league bout against WACO (Wayland, IA)

Next up, the Huskies play the Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 0-16 record after their 68-20 league loss to Sigourney (Sigourney, IA).
