The James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA) basketball nipped the host Millbrook Pioneers (Winchester, VA), 60-53 in Saturday's league test.

The Colonels (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Fauquier (Warrenton, VA). The Falcons go into the Northwestern test with a 7-9 record. In their last test, Fauquier got by Warren County (Front Royal, VA), 80-49, in a league test.

The Pioneers now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a Northwestern test on Tuesday, January 30. Millbrook will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 67-29 league loss to Meridian (Falls Church, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-7.
