Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Nome-Beltz Nanooks (Nome, AK) and the host Kotzebue Huskies (Kotzebue, AK), saw Nome-Beltz's basketball squad overcome Kotzebue by a tally of 64-51.

With the victory, Nome-Beltz improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Nanooks travel to Barrow (Utqiagvik, AK) to confront the Whalers in a 3A Western challenge on Friday, February 16. The Whalers come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Barrow won 63-51 in their recent league challenge against Bethel (Bethel, AK)

Next up, the Huskies confront the Sitka Wolves (Sitka, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Kotzebue will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 69-53 league win over Redington (Wasilla, AK).
