Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Lamar Texans (Houston, TX) and the host Westbury Huskies (Houston, TX), saw Lamar's basketball squad wallop Westbury by a count of 63-42.
With the victory, Lamar upgrades its record to 18-11 on the campaign. The Texans travel to Cesar E. Chavez (Houston, TX) to play the Lobos in a 6A Region III District 18 challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 10-15. Cesar E. Chavez won 55-34 in their recent league challenge against Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, TX)
Next up, the Huskies play the Bellaire Cardinals (Bellaire, TX) in a 6A Region III District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Westbury will attempt to upgrade on its 10-15 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 23-6 record after their 62-49 league win over Westside (Houston, TX).
