The Mound-Westonka White Hawks basketball team (Mound, MN), was nudged 70-69 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Richfield Spartans (Richfield, MN)
The Spartans now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fridley for a AAA Section 5 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Richfield will confront a Tigers team coming off a 59-57 non-league loss to St. Croix Lutheran (West St. Paul, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 10-4.
The White Hawks (6-9) will now prepare for their battle against Hutchinson (Hutchinson, MN). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Hutchinson was nudged by Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN), 78-66, in a non-league battle.
