St. Paul Academy-Summit Spartans (St. Paul, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mounds Park Academy Panthers (St. Paul, MN), 59-47 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Paul Academy-Summit upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Blake (Minneapolis, MN) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Blake won 83-48 in their recent league bout against Providence Academy/Rivertree (Plymouth, MN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Avail Academy (Minneapolis, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Mounds Park Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
