Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Simmons Blue Devils (Hollandale, MS) and the visiting West Bolivar Eagles (Rosedale, MS), saw Simmons's basketball squad overcome West Bolivar by a tally of 60-41.

With the victory, Simmons improves its record to 7-11 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Leland (Leland, MS) to play the Cubs in a 1A Region 5 challenge on Monday, January 29. The Cubs come into the challenge with a record of 2-17. Leland lost 46-25 in their recent league challenge against West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS)

Next up, the Eagles play the West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS) in a 1A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. West Bolivar will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record. The Choctaws come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 46-25 league win over Leland (Leland, MS).
