Georgia High School Basketball - Twiggs County trounced by Toombs County

The Toombs County Bulldogs routed the host Twiggs County Cobras basketball team by a final score of 70-39 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) in a AA Region 3 game, on Tuesday, January 30. Toombs County will attempt to move on its 18-2 season record. The Pirates enter the game with a 1-20 record after their 55-33 non-league loss to Wayne County (Jesup, GA).

With the defeat, Twiggs County moves to 7-12 on the year. The Cobras host Wilkinson County (Irwinton, GA) to face the Warriors in a A D2 Region 5 game on Tuesday, January 30. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 8-12. Wilkinson County won 51-48 in their recent league game against Johnson County (Wrightsville, GA)
