The Brusly Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Port Allen Pelicans to 16 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 20-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Broadmoor for a 4A District 6 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Brusly will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 60-6 league loss to St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-21.
The Pelicans (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Mentorship Academy (Baton Rouge, LA). The Sharks enter the 3A District 6 contest with a 0-4 record.
