Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) and the host Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME), saw Lake Region's basketball squad knock off Cape Elizabeth by a tally of 39-23.

With the victory, Lake Region improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Lakers host Biddeford (Biddeford, ME) to play the Tigers in a B South challenge on Friday, February 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 10-5.

Next up, the Capers play the York Wildcats (York, ME) in a B South challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Cape Elizabeth will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 48-42 league loss to Wells (Wells, ME).
