Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Carlisle Indians (Carlisle, OH), 68-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Waynesville upgrades its record to 20-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Eaton (Eaton, OH) to play the Eagles in a Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye bout on Thursday, February 1. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-17. Eaton lost 36-34 in their recent non-league bout against National Trail (New Paris, OH)

Next up, the Indians play the Ansonia Tigers (Ansonia, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Carlisle will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 45-21 non-league loss to Botkins (Botkins, OH).
