The Grenada Chargers basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Coffeeville Pirates to 32 in the Chargers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Chargers now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Cormorant for a 6A Region 1 contest on Monday, January 29. Grenada will battle a team coming off a 75-42 league loss to South Panola (Batesville, MS). The record now stands at 8-8.
The Pirates (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS). The Cardinals come into the 1A Region 3 contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Potts Camp prevailed over Strayhorn (Sarah, MS), 70-13, in a league contest.
