Dakota Indians (Dakota, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pearl City Wolves (Pearl City, IL), 53-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dakota upgrades its record to 10-15 on the season. The Indians host Pecatonica (Pecatonica, IL) to play the Indians in a Northwest Upstate Illini - North bout on Monday, January 29. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 21-5. Pecatonica lost 41-36 in their recent league bout against Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL)

Next up, the Wolves play the West Carroll Thunder (Savanna, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Pearl City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-20 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 60-16 league loss to River Ridge/Scales Mound (Hanover, IL).
