The Effingham Flaming Hearts basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs to 39 in the Flaming Hearts league victory on Saturday.
The Flaming Hearts now sport a 23-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charleston for a Apollo contest on Tuesday, January 30. Effingham will battle a Trojans team coming off a 71-51 league loss to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 5-16.
The Bulldogs (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Railsplitters come into the non-league contest with a 27-0 record. In their last contest, Lincoln prevailed over Champaign Central (Champaign, IL), 72-21, in a non-league contest.
