New Mexico High School Basketball - Escalante ripped by Mesa Vista

The Mesa Vista Trojans basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Escalante Lobos to 14 in the Trojans league triumph on Saturday.

The Trojans now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Questa for a 2A District 5 contest on Thursday, February 1. Mesa Vista will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 52-32 league win over Mora (Mora, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-5.

The Lobos (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Penasco (Penasco, NM). The Panthers enter the 2A District 5 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Penasco triumphed over McCurdy (Espanola, NM), 50-30, in a league contest.
