Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM), 62-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Espanola Valley upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Sundevils travel to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM) to play the Hilltoppers in a 4A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Los Alamos lost 72-51 in their recent non-league bout against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Pintos play the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Moriarty will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 31-30 league loss to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM).
