Garfield-Palouse Vikings (Palouse, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Pomeroy Pirates (Pomeroy, WA), 58-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Garfield-Palouse upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Dayton (Dayton, WA) to play the Bulldogs in a 1B Southeast bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-15. Dayton lost 68-24 in their recent league bout against Colton (Colton, WA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Rosalia Spartans (Rosalia, WA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Pomeroy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 60-22 non-league loss to Oakesdale (Oakesdale, WA).
