St. Mary's Hawks (Remsen, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA), 58-18 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Hawks host Ar-We-Va (Westside, IA) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 2-16. Ar-We-Va lost 69-19 in their recent league bout against Woodbine (Woodbine, IA)

Next up, the Jays clash with the Hinton Blackhawks (Hinton, IA) in a War Eagle bout, on Monday, January 29. Gehlen Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 70-29 non-league win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA).
