The Lanier Longhorns basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Jackson County Panthers to 33 in the Longhorns league victory on Saturday.

The Longhorns now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shiloh for a AAAAAA Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Lanier will battle a Generals team coming off a 56-26 league loss to North Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Generals record now stands at 6-16.

The Panthers (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Shiloh (Snellville, GA). The Generals come into the AAAAAA Region 8 contest with a 6-17 record. In their last contest, Shiloh was defeated by Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA), 40-33, in a league contest.
