Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Lakota East Thunderhawks (Liberty Township, OH) and the visiting Lakota West Firebirds (West Chester, OH), saw Lakota East's basketball squad knock off Lakota West by a count of 51-38.

With the victory, Lakota East upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Thunderhawks travel to Sycamore (Cincinnati, OH) to play the Aviators in a Greater Miami challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Aviators come into the challenge with a record of 4-12. Sycamore lost 60-57 in their recent league challenge against Colerain (Cincinnati, OH)

Next up, the Firebirds play the Hamilton Big Blue (Hamilton, OH) in a Greater Miami challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Lakota West will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Big Blue come into the challenge with a 3-15 record after their 41-21 league loss to Oak Hills (Cincinnati, OH).
