Georgia High School Basketball - Montgomery County routs McIntosh County Academy

January 27, 2024: Mt. Vernon, GA 30445

In Saturday's league outing, the Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), by a margin of 50-20.

The Eagles (19-0) will now prepare for their outing against Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The War Eagles go into the A D2 Region 3 outing with a 8-10 record. In their last outing, Jenkins County was trounced by Treutlen (Soperton, GA), 64-37, in a non-league outing.

The Buccaneers now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they host Portal for a A D2 Region 3 outing on Friday, February 2. McIntosh County Academy will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 58-42 league win over Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 7-13.
