The Monadnock Huskies (East Swanzey, NH) basketball crushed the host Newport Tigers (Newport, NH), 49-24 in Saturday's league test.
The Huskies (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Stevens (Claremont, NH). The Cardinals go into the Division III test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Stevens walloped Conant (Jaffrey, NH), 40-36, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they travel to Sunapee for a non-league test on Monday, January 29. Newport will encounter a Lakers squad coming off a 59-19 league loss to Portsmouth Christian Academy (Dover, NH). The Lakers record now stands at 2-12.
