Oxnard Yellowjackets (Oxnard, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), 88-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Oxnard upgrades its record to 21-5 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA) to play the Chargers in a Channel bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 18-7. Dos Pueblos won 61-15 in their recent league bout against Pacifica (Oxnard, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Pacifica Tritons (Oxnard, CA) in a Channel bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Rio Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 4-20 season record. The Tritons go into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 61-15 league loss to Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA).
