Xavier Hawks (Appleton, WI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Shawano Community Hawks (Shawano, WI), 62-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Xavier upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to Green Bay West (Green Bay, WI) to play the Wildcats in a Bay bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Hawks play the New London Bulldogs (New London, WI) in a Bay bout, on Monday, January 29. Shawano Community will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 17-3 record after their 84-30 league win over Green Bay East (Green Bay, WI).
