In Saturday's league challenge, the Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT) ice hockey team bounced the host Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT), by a margin of 6-1.

The Lakers now possess a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hartford for a challenge on Wednesday, January 31. Colchester will clash with a Hurricanes team coming off a 3-1 league loss to South Burlington (South Burlington, VT). The Hurricanes record now stands at 8-3.

The Cougars (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellows Free Academy (St. Albans, VT). The Bobwhites/Comets enter the challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Bellows Free Academy tipped Middlebury (Middlebury, VT), 7-1, in a league challenge.
