Vermont High School Basketball - Essex overwhelms Burlington

The Essex Hornets basketball team scored 89 points and limited the visiting Burlington Seahorses to 54 in the Hornets league triumph on Monday.
The Hornets now possess a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Burr & Burton for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Essex will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 68-45 league win over Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Rutland, VT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Burlington falls to 15-2 on the campaign. The Seahorses travel to St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT) to confront the Hilltoppers in a Metro game on Thursday, January 30. The Hilltoppers go into the game with a record of 10-4. St. Johnsbury Academy won 55-39 in their recent non-league game against Rutland (Rutland, VT)
