In Monday's league test, the Fairfax Lions (Los Angeles, CA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting University Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA), by a score of 54-37.

Next, the Lions encounter the Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA) in a Western test, on Wednesday, January 29. Fairfax will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Gondoliers come into the test with a 8-11 record after their 67-59 league loss to Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA).

The Wildcats (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Westchester (Los Angeles, CA). The Comets come into the Western test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Westchester beat Los Angeles CES (Los Angeles, CA), 68-56, in a league test.
