Minnesota High School Basketball - Luverne holds off Fairmont

The Luverne Cardinals basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Fairmont Cardinals to 55 in the Cardinals league triumph on Monday.
The Cardinals now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they host Southwest Minnesota Christian for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Luverne will confront a Eagles team coming off a 83-50 league win over Westbrook-Walnut Grove (Westbrook, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 9-7.
With the loss, Fairmont falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN) to confront the Buccaneers in a non-league game on Friday, January 31.
