The George County Rebels basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting Picayune Maroon Tide to 56 in the Rebels league triumph on Monday.

The Rebels now possess a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Long Beach for a 6A Region 4 game on Tuesday, January 28. George County will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 47-46 non-league loss to Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 5-19.

With the loss, Picayune falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Maroon tide travel to Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Region 4 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 17-3.
