The Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC) basketball were winner over the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), 63-47 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Rockets now possess a 16-2 record. They play next when they travel to Williams for a 3A Central bout on Wednesday, January 29. Person will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 79-57 league loss to Orange (Hillsborough, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-9.
With the loss, Halifax County falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA) to play the Phoenix in a Piedmont bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 6-4.
