In Monday's non-league contest, the host Kootenai Warriors basketball team scored a close 78-71 triumph over the Highland Huskies.

The Warriors (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Clark Fork (Clark Fork, ID). The Wampus Cats go into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Clark Fork nipped Immaculate Conception Academy (Post Falls, ID), 53-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Huskies confront the Genesee Bulldogs (Genesee, ID) in a 1A White Pine contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Highland will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 4-10 record after their 59-50 league loss to Timberline (Weippe, ID).
