Washington High School Basketball - River Ridge nudges Peninsula

The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA) and the host Peninsula Seahawks (Gig Harbor, WA), observed River Ridge's basketball team edge Peninsula by a score of 53-49.
The Hawks (12-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Capital (Olympia, WA). The Cougars come into the 3A Puget Sound challenge with a 4-14 record. In their last challenge, Capital was tipped by North Thurston (Lacey, WA), 66-55, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Seahawks encounter the Timberline Blazers (Lacey, WA) in a 3A Puget Sound challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Peninsula will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Blazers come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 68-66 league loss to Lakes (Lakewood, WA).
