The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers (Salinas, CA) and the host Seaside Spartans (Seaside, CA), observed Rancho San Juan's basketball team overwhelm Seaside by a score of 75-54.

The Trailblazers (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Vista Christian (Watsonville, CA). The Mustangs come into the PCAL - Mission challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Monte Vista Christian trounced Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA), 54-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Hollister Haybalers (Hollister, CA) in a PCAL - Mission challenge, on Friday, January 31. Seaside will attempt to improve on its 0-17 season record. The Haybalers come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 60-37 league win over Marina (Marina, CA).
