The Surry County Cougars basketball squad (Dendron, VA), was outscored 72-54 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA)

With the victory, Southampton advances its record to 12-1 on the year. The Indians travel to Windsor (Windsor, VA) to meet the Dukes in a Tri-Rivers battle on Wednesday, January 29. The Dukes enter the battle with a record of 2-14. Windsor won 58-48 in their recent league battle against Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech (Petersburg, VA)
