Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors (Ehrhardt, SC) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders (Blackville, SC), 29-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Andrew Jackson Academy upgrades its record to 8-8 on the year. The Warriors host Cross (Bluffton, SC) to face the Stingrays in a SCISA 2A Region III match on Tuesday, January 28. The Stingrays enter the match with a record of 10-9. Cross won 67-15 in their recent league match against Thomas Heyward Academy (Ridgeland, SC)
The Raiders now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Curtis Baptist for a SCISA 1A Region II match on Friday, January 31. Jefferson Davis Academy will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 56-8 non-league win over King Academy (Batesburg, SC). The Crusaders record now stands at 14-5.
