The Belton Pirates basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Truman Patriots to 36 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Monday.

The Pirates now possess a 3-12 record. They play next when they travel to Raytown for a Kansas City Suburban game on Thursday, January 30. Belton will confront a Bluejays team coming off a 54-23 non-league win over Ruskin (Kansas City, MO). The Bluejays record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Truman falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The Patriots host Park Hill (Kansas City, MO) to confront the Trojans in a non-league game on Monday, February 3. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 10-7. Park Hill won 55-49 in their recent non-league game against Platte County (Platte City, MO)
